New UHome™ Reentry App Recognized for Improving Lives of Former Inmates in Home Confinement or Halfway Houses

21 December, 2021 – UHome™ Reentry, a new app, has been recognized for providing comprehensive services to recently incarcerated individuals navigating post-conviction release in home confinement or halfway houses. The first app of its kind, UHome™ Reentry released earlier this year to help individuals be more efficient as they reenter traditional life.

The powerful new platform incorporates a host of features to alleviate common challenges in the release process. The app allows users to track, digitally sign, and submit a variety of documents, such as special passes, church passes, gas receipts, and monthly budgets, directly to their case managers or probation officers by email as PDF files. These documents can then be synced to an online calendar, such as a Google Calendar, which allows for easy tracking and compliance with release policies and procedures. This app also reduces exposure to COVID-19 as the pandemic continues to threaten this high-risk population.

Additionally, UHome™ Reentry users get the benefit of an efficient reminder system that sends text messages and email alerts to remind users of their pass dates and times, enabling easy check-ins as required. At the same time, a separate reentry countdown timer tracks the time remaining on home confinement or in a halfway house. By improving the management of post-conviction requirements, UHome™ Reentry is transforming the lives of former inmates, one step at a time.

“UHome™ Reentry will help recently released inmates on home confinement or in the halfway house, effectively reducing recidivism rates in our country,” remarked Dr. Romeatrius Moss, President of UHome™ Reentry. “Together, UHome™ Reentry helps felons regain their self-worth, spend more time with their families, and save paper and time with a secure, efficient, and streamlined experience,” they added.

The UHome™ Reentry platform can be available on all desktops, tablet computers, and smartphones, and is quickly being adopted by probation programs and halfway houses nationwide to reduce recidivism rates and increase family gatherings.
