Los Angeles, CA – October 06, 2021 – Popular emerging actor and filmmaker Jay Beckett is pleased to announce that he would soon be seen in an upcoming theater show with the leading indie theater company, The HereAndNow Theater Company. The show will be performed at the prestigious Soka University in Mission Viejo, Orange County, California. This will be Jay’s second stint with The HereAndNow Theater Company, after “A Little Tokyo Christmas” last December at the Aratani Theatre.
The upcoming show at the Soka University is scheduled for October 14, 2021.
In an exclusive interview, the film and stage actor shared that The HereAndNow Theater Company was asked to do a show at Soka University and they were looking for actors on an urgent basis. Jay was one of the first actors to be called among other predominant actors to be a part of the show.
“I am thrilled to share with you all that I will soon be doing a show with the great The HereAndNow Theater Company at the esteemed Soka University next week. I worked with the leading indie theater company last year and it was an amazing experience. And so, when The HereAndNow Theater Company spokesperson asked me to be a part of their tour, I was more than elated. There could not be a better start to my holiday season this year”, stated Jay Beckett.
While asked about the upcoming show, Jay said he cannot divulge much detail at the moment but stressed that he loved the script and his role the moment he heard it.
“I loved the script and I am really glad with the role I have got. I am positive it’s going to be a great show and I am really looking forward to performing on the stage. Another reason I am excited this time is that the upcoming show will offer me an excellent opportunity to share the stage with some of the most notable theater greats.”
Born in 1985 in Lima, Peru, Jay Beckett is a highly talented American-Peruvian actor and filmmaker. He moved to LA, California, at the age of 17 and since then has been staying in the USA. A keen connoisseur of arts since his childhood, Jay always knew his true calling lies in the acting and entertainment industry. He has taken training in acting techniques, on-camera techniques, sketch writing, and more. In 2017, he decided to take up acting as a full-time career and since then, has worked in several stage and film projects. Some of his major stage and film projects are “A Little Tokyo Story”, “My Mythology”, “Wonder Women”, “Breathing Time”, “Nasty Bosses”, Have a Good Day”, and so on. Last year, Jay is pursuing his degree in filmmaking from LA Film School. He also performs in commercials.
