Motivating Children from Within with Human at Core.

What children really want and need at core is meaningful development. It is what human beings are designed for.

It is during the first 12 years after birth that each life develops the framework for its future. It is a critical time in our lives because everything that happens during the period from birth to puberty influences the foundation of that life. We know, for example, that if the child’s hearing or vision is impaired in some way, it can have a direct effect on the development of their brain and learning. If they experience major trauma, such as bereavement or divorce, it will interrupt their natural line of development and process and the consequences can often, ricochet throughout their childhood and into adult life, even leading the individual into therapy if the effects are interfering in their ability to make progress or feel fulfilled.

The glaring omission from current education is the personal development work that underpins everything we do. Parents are in the best position to help by teaching their children the skills they need to develop to be resilient, communicate effectively.

What needs to be different:

Focusing on the core needs of the child first so they understand their worth, place, and purpose as developing human beings. Educating children about life, how things work – including relationships and expectations, where learning fits, and what they need to do, know and achieve before they are reaching adulthood.Making a long-term plan – even as early as 7 years of age – shows your child what they are aiming for and how we as adults can help.

How can you achieve this?

Understand that children are born with an automatic agenda for growth and development. Realize that the world is a veritable bonanza of experiences, some good and some not so good, and it’s your job to help your child choose their activities and experiences that will help their best development.

Human at Core has been pioneering the development of motivation in children for the past 20 years. The program has been proven to re-engage children who are underperforming, but more than that, bring them to top-tier schools and achieve excellence in learning and in life with a stronger core and powerful sense of who they are and what they want to achieve in life.
